The EEPROM Editor empowers you to effortlessly examine, modify, and duplicate EEPROM data from the latest VAG vehicles.

This software features an exceptionally user-friendly interface. Simply follow the instructions provided, and the software will handle the entire process for you. To fully utilize this tool, ECU bench/boot reading is required.

You can clone MEDC17/SIMOS/PCR2.1 ECUs with ease.

Clone MED17/EDC17 WFS4, WFS5, and WFS6 without SHE:

IMMOBILIZER data is exclusively stored in EEPROM, making this ECU the easiest to clone. The software handles all necessary steps, making the cloning process straightforward.

Clone MED17/EDC17 WFS6 with SHE:

For these ECUs, IMMOBILIZER data is stored in both EEPROM and Secured Extension Hardware (SHE). These ECUs, such as the latest MY17+ versions (e.g., MED17.1.62, EDC17C74), cannot be cloned through traditional methods. The only viable solution is to use IMMOFF17 to disable IMMO and then edit the VIN using the EEPROM Editor to match the new vehicle, or blank it by replacing the VIN with XXXX.

Clone PCR2.1 and SIMOS1X.X without SHE:

IMMOBILIZER data is stored in both EEPROM and FLASH. Unlike MED17, SIMOS ECUs store ‘powerklass’ information in FLASH. Cloning is possible by following the instructions provided in the FAQ section.

Convenient File Management:

If your tool generates SPLITTED files (e.g., FLASH0, FLASH1), such as AUTOTUNER, a convenient feature automatically merges these files for you. When saving EEPROM data, the software automatically re-splits the file into FLASH0 and FLASH1, eliminating the need for manual intervention.

Important Notes:

To clone, edit, or view EEPROM data, a full read flash is always required. The complete read includes the MCU ID, which is essential for decrypting and encrypting IMMOBILIZER data stored in EEPROM.
